This was an incredible date night with my husband. The food was exceptional, and it was cool that they took a picture of us to take home, even though it cost $20 cash. However, it took a negative turn when we received our bill—an 18% service charge for just two people? Why was that added? Did they assume we wouldn’t tip the staff? When we asked another staff member, NOT the server, they explained that the owner keeps 50%, and the remaining $11, in our case, is split among the server, hibachi chef, bartenders, and bussers. As a former server and bartender, this situation frustrates me. Many people do not realize how difficult it is to work in the hospitality industry. The staff was outstanding, and I genuinely wish them the best. I also hope they move on from this place soon.

The food was AMAZING! Service was excellent. And our pictures that were taken was top notch. The photographer was very talented! Definitely coming back here the next time we are in town!

Brought the family to Zika Hibachi and we had such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lively, the staff was welcoming, and everything felt perfect for a family night out. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked right in front of us with so much skill and fun. What made the night even more special was the photographer. They captured beautiful pictures of my family that we will cherish. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the whole experience feel memorable. Highly recommend for great food, great service, and a great time together as a family.

We went here for a date night and really enjoyed the show and the food. For the hibachi we tried the sukiyaki steak, scallops, and golden shrimp. The service was great too. The servers were nice, helpful, and attentive. They refilled our soda multiple times without us asking! They also take photos and you can choose to buy them. We liked ours and took two home.

Zuka in Bolingbrook was a really solid experience overall and definitely worth checking out. The food was the standout—everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The crab rangoons were especially delicious, perfectly crispy on the outside with a creamy, well-balanced filling inside. The sushi was just as impressive - and by that I mean the size. Holy cow. HUGE. Definitely could have gotten away with just ordering 2 rolls for two people. Service was also great. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing, which always makes a difference. The only downsides were a bit unexpected. There was a photographer walking around trying to take photos of guests, which felt a little intrusive and out of place for a casual dinner. Also, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our check—even though there were only two of us. It wasn’t a big issue since we typically tip 20–22% anyway, but it did feel a little unusual and would’ve been nice to know ahead of time. Overall, a strong 4-star experience. Great food and service with just a couple of small quirks that stood out.
